Visit Easker Art Studio Gallery in historic Lansing, Iowa.

We’re located in Northeast Iowa surrounded by inspiration.

Easker Art Studio Gallery opened in August 2015 in a newly renovated commercial building just two blocks from the Mississippi River. We are proud to be both participants in and beneficiaries of efforts by Main Street Lansing to revitalize the historic community first platted in 1851 and founded in 1867. Lansing’s commercial district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

Easker Art Studio Gallery is located at 271 Main Street, Lansing, Iowa

When we committed to renting the space, the badly neglected 1887 building was nearly beyond repair. The Benson family who had acquired the storefront worked with us and created a space that contains a small studio apartment and a great airy studio working space with room to exhibit our paintings, prints, and collages. It is an excellent space in which to work and be, and we’ve made a commitment that we will be at the Lansing location the first two weekends of each month and the week in-between. We most likely will be there at other times of the month, especially when the weather is warm.

We invite you to visit us in Lansing. The Mississippi is always beautiful, and there are spectacular, unequaled views of the river from nearby Mt. Hosmer, named after 19th-century sculptor Harriet Hosmer. The town has quirky shopping, quirky eating and exciting places to stay. Canoes and kayaks are available for rent, and there are lots of trails to hike. There are unequaled hunting and fishing. For more information about the history and geology of the region, the recently opened Driftless Education and Interpretive Center is worth a visit, and it has free admission.
