I first noticed this view while driving along Elon Road—one of those sudden places where the land opens wide in both directions, catching you off guard. I returned in early spring, drawn to the mix of green pastures, newly turned fields, and budding trees. It was the lane that stopped me. Worn into the landscape and curving gently into the distance, it caught my eye and invited me to pause. That simple path opened the entire composition.
